Christmas decor

The day after Thanksgiving, John got out the Christmas bins so we could decorate! He helped me decorate some of it as we listened to Christmas music. Bliss! Here are some of the many pictures I took.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in San Jose with John's friend Jason's parents/family. Jason and John were roommates at the Academy, so John got to know his parents. Jason wasn't there for Thanksgiving, but the rest of his family was. I was a little teary that day before we went down there, more so than I thought I'd be (hello, pregnancy!), missing my family on a holiday. Everyone at dinner was friendly, though.

New desk

This is our old desk. John had it when I met him, and although it's old and chipped, buying a new one wasn't on our priority list. John couldn't even really fit underneath it, so it wasn't good for his posture at all!

Some of our friends from John's squadron were moving, and getting rid of a few things. We got this Ikea desk from them. It's color is espresso, so it matches the bookshelf (from Ikea) we already have in there.

The space underneath is a lot wider, so John fits, and it has more storage space. I love when God blesses us with things we don't necessarily need desperately, but things that we desire! Especially when they're free!

26 weeks!

So thankful for a healthy pregnancy and baby so far! John is in Japan for two weeks, so I'm really trying to get motivated to do some projects. It was rainy and cold (for here) last weekend, so I was pretty much glued to the couch, but I already feel like I'm going to be able to accomplish a lot this week. After having a cold for the past two weeks (and laying around a lot!), I'm ready to be up doing stuff! The weekends alone can be hard, but today's word from God was "REJOICE!" I kept hearing it. It was a beautiful day, and I felt blessed. No matter what things come up, I have reason to praise Him.
