John's birthday
John's birthday was at the beginning of June. I made him dinner and he opened his gifts, and the day after, we went to dinner to celebrate with his friend who came to visit.

I made Pioneer Woman's Cajun Chicken Pasta for dinner...yum. I love cream sauce!

I also made a cookie cake, which John has loved since he was little.

We had a great day together (he ended up taking the day off as a surprise). Happy 29th to my favorite person!

Montery/Carmel
On Memorial Day weekend, we drove about 3 hours to Monterey one day, and then to Carmel the next. It was a great trip with good weather, so we were thankful for that. The weather here has been "off", just like everywhere else, although not to the same extreme. It's been raining a lot, which I guess is unusual.
I love a good friend
My friend Janna came from WA to visit at the end of May, and we had so much fun. It was just nice to see a familiar face and someone I can be myself with. We went to the Farmer's Market in Davis. Janna's a photographer, and I love taking pictures, so we have fun doing "senior pictures" together. : )

We also went to Old Town Sacramento, and found they were having a Pacific Rim Festival. It was super crowded, but fun. Here's a colorful wall we found to take pictures by.

We also went to Sausilito, close to San Fran. Total touristy town, but very cute and quaint. The Golden Gate Bridge is behind us.

Then we went to Napa to a couple vineyards.

We also went to some yard sales, church, and watched movies every night. Great to have some girl time, especially because John was gone that weekend.

3rd anniversary
John took the day off on our anniversary, May 3rd, and we went to lunch at Rutherford's in Napa. It was a nice, sunny day, so it was fun to sit outside.

We got home and John went to the porch to get a package. He walked in the door with it, I read the box that says "Georgetown Cupcakes" and freak out! We've been watching the show "DC Cupcakes" and have been wanting to try them. He ordered some for our anniversary, and was pretty happy with himself for finally being able to surprise me.
